Don't Skip Your Exercise

The new year is coming up and many of us will make New Year's Resolutions like start exericising.  How many times have we done this.  Broken Promises.  Why?  We make so many excuses...time, money, too hard ... Did you know skipping rope is a great exercise?

Skipping or jumping rope is the unsung hero of exercise.  Relegated to the shadows by such things as running, pwer walking, yoga, weight training.  Skipping is however viewed by professional athletes as a criticalpart of their training.  Have you ever seen a boxer training on television?  What do they always seem to do... move around fast...what exercise do you think helps them do that...yoga? (not that there is anything wrong with yoga...we do it.)

Boxers skip...a lot.  So we asked some people why don't you skip rope.  What we heard is similar to what we found on the internet.  Didn't know it was so good for you, never considered it and on and on.  But the one we here the most seems to be...it is too difficult.

Let me tell you...it is not that difficult.  Sure at first it may be but after a short while it is like riding a bike.  You just start skipping and it actually becomes fun.  And we actually know people who have just taken their ropes and cut them in half.  Needless to say, you can find more info on that at Skipno.com.

What!  You can't do that...that's cheating?

Cheating??  Okay that is the dumbest thing  I have heard today.  Not exercising is cheating.  Making a New Years Resolution or rather Making A new Year Guaranteed Lie is cheating. 

We skip.  You should check into it too (of course check with the doctor too.)  Have a great 2008 and keep your resolution resolute ladies.
